What is Recognized Sponsorship?
Recognized Sponsorship is a designation given to employers by the IND, allowing them to act as official sponsors for non-EU nationals they wish to hire. Recognized sponsors can facilitate the immigration process for employees under various visa schemes, such as the Highly Skilled Migrant (HSM) Visa, the EU Blue Card, and the Intra-Corporate Transferee (ICT) permit.
This status is mandatory for employers intending to hire highly skilled migrants or sponsor international talent under specific visa programs.
Key Benefits of Recognized Sponsorship
Streamlined Visa Processes:
Applications for work and residence permits are processed faster when submitted by a recognized sponsor.
Priority Handling by the IND:
Recognized sponsors receive priority in communication and processing, reducing waiting times.
Employer Credibility:
Being a recognized sponsor enhances a company’s reputation as a legitimate and trustworthy employer for international talent.
Broad Access to Talent:
Enables companies to compete in the global labor market by hiring highly skilled professionals.
Long-Term Solutions:
Facilitates not only hiring but also retention of international employees, as sponsors can assist with visa extensions and family reunification processes.
